Year 6 SPAG Revision Pack! Hundreds of questions from the 2016, 2015 and 2014 papers

I love to teach KS2 English grammar, punctuation and spelling. I make it into a game. The students see the question and then answer them on a mini whiteboard. I sometimes put them into pairs or teams to discuss their ideas. Then I show them the answers. We discuss the different answers together. I hated having to have the answers and questions separately and so I have combined the different question and answer papers into a single presentation. This presentation also tells them what would have been acceptable or unacceptable answers. The tests are differentiated so there are Level 3-5 tests and Level 6 tests. The students should try to do them all, to both consolidate and extend their learning. These KS2 SPAG Revision test materials will make learning more fun and the students more motivated to achieve. You will notice in the sample 2016 tests, there is now a single test for all students, which explains why there is no separate tests for levels 3-5 and level 6.

SPAG Revision Test Papers - Questions and Answers combined into one document!

When I am revising the SPAG (KS2 English grammar, punctuation and spelling tests), I want to have all the questions and all the answers in one place. This means I can ask the class a question and then after they have shown me their responses on their mini-whiteboards, I can immediately show them the answers and the acceptable alternatives. As I could not find this anywhere, I thought it would be easier to simply make it myself. So here it is! This particular set of resources comes from the 2014 test. I have also done this for the 2015 test and the 2016 tests. This resource could be used in school or it could be used at home. It could be used with a whole class or in pairs, one asks the question, the other answers the question and then they swap roles. It contains both Levels 3 to 5 and a second presentation for level 6. All children should try all the tests to either consolidate their learning or to extend their learning.

SPAG Levels 3-5 and Level 6 Interactive Whiteborad Revision Materials - Questions and Answers

When I am teaching and revising grammar, the big thing I hate it needing to only check all my answers at the end. I like to be able to give a question. Get the students to show their answers on mini white boards and immediately check their answers and discuss why the answer is correct. I have taken the 2015 SPAG short answer test papers and marking schemes and combined them into a single PowerPoint. There are two different levels of questions, those for Levels 3 - 5 and the more advanced level 6. It is worth going through all of them to both check the advanced groups basic understanding and the other group to inspire them to greater things! Please leave me a comment on how you found them.

KS1 2016 SPAG Sample Paper Two In One Questions and Answers In One Presentation

I have taken the 2016 Sample KS1 SPAG paper 2, and combined the questions and the marking scheme into one document. The idea is you show the question, the children then show their answers on a whiteboard and then you show the answers and discuss the questions and why it is the right answer. This sample test indicates how the national curriculum will be assessed from 2016. Further information is available on GOV.UK at www.gov.uk/sta. I have used a very colourful template to make sure the children are engaged with their learning.

I have created a PowerPoint presentation combining Paper 1 and the mark scheme so you can ask a question, and immediately see the answer and the explanation. This is great for a wide range of different circumstances. If the students have completed the test this lets the teacher review the paper question by question. It also a great what of revising grammar at the whole class level. Each student shows the answer on whiteboard and then immediately check their answers. A variety of questions has been included in this sample test to demonstrate the formats and curriculum content that pupils may encounter in a live test. A commentary is provided in the mark scheme that accompanies each question. This sample test mark scheme is provided to give teachers an indication of how the tests will be marked. The mark schemes for the sample tests have been subject to a shorter process than the full, rigorous development process that is used for live mark schemes. The sample test and mark schemes have been reviewed by teachers and other expert reviewers.

2016 KS2 Sample Maths Papers PowerPoint Pack - COMBINED Questions and Answers

(1)
Sample materials which combine the test papers and mark scheme to help teachers prepare for the 2016 tests. The idea being a student can answer one question and then together the class checks the answers. The original test papers can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/2016-key-stage-2-mathematics-sample-test-materials-mark-schemes-and-test-administration-instructions. This is a great way of reviewing the maths tests as a whole class either as a way of revising after doing the sample tests or simple working through each question as a class.

Phonics Screen Revision - 4 documents in one simple PowerPoint!

(2)
Getting ready for the summer Phonics test? Here are two Phonics revision tests from previous years. I have converted 4 documents into a simple to use PowerPoint. It starts off with practice words. These include both real and made up words. These help students to revise how to say the words and to prepare them for the test. This is followed by the practice test. There are 2 levels, a simple level and a trickier level, In each case there are real and made-up words. This is followed by recommendations on how to say each word. This is followed by the marking sheet. These PowerPoints are fun, colourful and an easy way to practice the words either with a whole class or one by one with the students. It is also an excellent way for parents to practice with their children at home. Make phonics testing fun... try this set of PowerPoints today!

Ks1 SATs Revision 2016 Mathematics Paper 1: arithmetic and Paper 2: reasoning as PowerPoints

(1)
I love to work through SATs papers are part of my revision program. These two PowerPoints are designed for whole class interaction. All the students need are some whiteboards. Each question is immediately followed by its answer. This has lots of motivational and organisational benefits. The first is the students get immediate feedback on their ideas and misconceptions, without needing to wait until the end of a test. It also means different students can explain each of their solving strategies to the class and help everyone become more effective learners. As the answers are straight after the questions, it is possible to simply use these PowerPoints for 5 minutes a day and still get the full benefit as all the questions are immediately solved. This is also a nice way of tutoring students at home. The tutor can then focus on the areas the students to need to work harder in.

These tests are set to change every 5 seconds, letting you test either individual children or a whole class at once. You might like to also look at my matching mini origami books which go with this series (/teaching-resource/mini-book-x2-to-x12-multiplication-times-table-tests-4-per-table-11198350) which are designed to make learning time tables more fun. There are 4 tests per times table, so the children do not know what test you will give them. They are written in PowerPoint so you can easily edit them or change the speed of the tests.

44 Mini Books x2 to x12 Multiplication Times Table Tests - 4 per table + answers + Instructions

Making multiplication times tables fun. These timetables books are both fun to make and fun to use. They are a great way of helping students to learn their multiplication tables. I was trying to think of different ways of making practicing time tables more fun. This is a fun activity. I wanted it to be tricky enough that there was more than one set of different timestables to use. I decided that 4 different varients meant no child could simply learn the numbers off by heart - by time they have completed all 4 books for each multiplication timetable, they will be proficient in that book. You can start off with the easier multiplication tables such as the x2, x5 and x10 for the beginners, before moving onto the middle range books such as x3, x4, x6 and x8. Finally rounding off with the most challenging books. Perfect for Homeworks etc. I have now made it into an easy print books to make your life easier. Child make mini origami books, each with the times table in them and then the answers at the end, so they can be used for self checking. If you prefer no answers, it is a matter of moments to edit out the answers using a paint program. They can be used for testing or simple revision.

101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets Book 2 + Answers

Like the first version of 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets (/teaching-resource/101-ks1-grammar-sats-revision-worksheets-11189210), it is packed with 101 printable worksheets for teaching and improving grammar skills in English. The topics are wide and varied, starting with Essential English worksheets that cover the basics, like the alphabet, days, months, and telling the time; then tenses (a lot about tenses!), then irregular verbs, question forms, word order in sentences, parts of English, uncountable nouns, and so on! If you have used the first BGB, you will know what to expect from this one. Around 25% of the worksheets in this book are closely modelled on activities in BGB 1, for example Full Stops 1 (pp.68-69). The material starts off at beginner level, with the alphabet worksheets, then gets progressively more difficult. Only towards the end do things get “tougher”, with articles, conditionals, and phrasal verbs making their inevitable appearance! Don’t worry – all the answers and notes for use are included at the back of this book. English teachers can use Another 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets in class, although it may be better to use the worksheets for homework and let students focus on speaking and listening and group work – producing language – in class. It is ideal for private study – i.e. homework or self-study – and also for use in online lessons. Teachers can adapt the worksheets in this book, and I would positively encourage them to treat many of the pages as templates for producing their own activities. For example, the sentence building worksheets (from p.60) would be ideal for adaptation, among many others. I hope you enjoy learning English with Another 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets! Remember, a good understanding of English grammar will open doors of opportunity. Please note: This was originally marketed under the title Big Grammar Book 2. If you have bought this title, you do not need to buy this book.

It’s jam-packed from cover to cover with a great selection of photocopiable worksheets. We wanted to provide teachers with a really useful book of no-nonsense grammar worksheets that they can dip into and use in a typical KS1 class. Don't forget to also check out book 2 in the series (/teaching-resource/101-ks1-english-grammar-sat-revision-worksheets-book-2-11189219) It is also ideal for students to work with at home since the answers are all printed at the back. The book is divided into four parts and is graded in difficulty, so that it begins with some basic stuff and builds up to more challenging grammar activities. It features a selection of Essential English worksheets which provide practice for crucial basic areas of knowledge for learners at Entry Level, like using numbers, writing the alphabet, spelling days and months correctly, and so on. If you have already bought this book under the name of "Big Grammar Book 1" then this is a remarketed version and you have already bought it.

10 FREE Thanksgiving Poster For your classroom or assembly.

(0)
The Importance of Thanksgiving Posters in the Classroom As Thanksgiving approaches, I’ve been inspired to create and share 10 beautiful posters that celebrate the spirit of gratitude. While browsing through resources on TES, I noticed a lack of engaging materials that truly capture the essence of being thankful. This motivated me to design these posters, which can be a wonderful addition to your classroom decor. Why Use Thanksgiving Posters in the Classroom? Promoting a Culture of Gratitude: Thanksgiving posters serve as a powerful reminder to students about the importance of expressing gratitude. They encourage a culture of appreciation, helping students understand the value of being thankful for what they have. Visual Engagement: Colorful and thoughtfully designed posters can capture students’ attention and create a warm, festive atmosphere in the classroom. Visual aids enhance learning by providing context and stimulating discussion around the themes of Thanksgiving and gratitude. Inspiring Reflection: These posters can prompt meaningful conversations and reflections among students. They encourage learners to think about what they are thankful for and share their thoughts with their peers, fostering a sense of community. Versatile Teaching Tool: Beyond Thanksgiving, these posters are suitable for any lessons focused on gratitude, kindness, and respect. They can also be effectively used during harvest festivals or any time you want to teach about appreciation and community. Encouraging Positive Behavior: Displaying messages of gratitude can promote positive behavior within the classroom. When students see reminders of thankfulness, it can influence their interactions and encourage them to express appreciation towards their classmates and teachers. I kindly ask that if you enjoy these Thanksgiving posters, please click the little blue heart further down the page and follow me. This allows me to keep you updated on future sets of free topical posters. If you find value in these resources, leaving a lovely comment would mean the world to me—your feedback makes what I do worthwhile! Let’s celebrate gratitude together in our classrooms this Thanksgiving!
